Helping Habitats Thrive
What Sets Us Apart
We go beyond mitigation—we restore and enhance neglected habitats. From repurposing underutilised land to restoring wetlands, we deliver fully funded BNG plans with 30 years of stewardship. Our biodiversity credits are strategically deployed to support local development while ensuring long-term ecological integrity.
Our Mission
To restore and enhance biodiversity through innovative, measurable, and locally beneficial Biodiversity Net Gain solutions that support sustainable development and long-term ecological resilience.
Our Vision
Regulatory Alignment
Investing in future environments, today
We operate in full alignment with the UK’s Environment Act 2021, ensuring our BNG strategies meet and exceed statutory requirements. We comply with the DEFRA Biodiversity Metric and Trading Rules, as set out in official government guidance, which govern how biodiversity units must be calculated, matched, and secured. This includes adhering to habitat type matching, spatial risk considerations, and legal obligations to maintain enhancements for a minimum of 30 years through Section 106 agreements or Conservation Covenants.

Frequently Asked Questions
Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) is an approach to development that leaves biodiversity in a measurably better state than before. It is important because it ensures that land development contributes positively to the environment by restoring and enhancing habitats, rather than simply mitigating damage.
BNG Environmental provides end-to-end services for developers, including ecological assessments, biodiversity credit matching, custom BNG plans, and long-term stewardship. These services ensure full compliance with UK Environment Act 2021 and local planning authorities.
BNG Environmental works with farmers and landowners who have underused or ecologically valuable land. By partnering with BNG Environmental, landowners can unlock new revenue streams by offering biodiversity units to developers seeking off-site BNG solutions.
